Daniyal Hussain was born in Minnesota and raised in Albuquerque, New Mexico. He graduated from Cottonwood Classical Charter School in 2024, earning both his high school diploma and the prestigious International Baccalaureate (IB) diploma. He is now pursuing a dual degree in Political Science and Sociology at the University of New Mexico, with minors in Population Health and Honors.

Passionate about law and policymaking, Daniyal aspires to practice law with a focus on the intersection of legal advocacy and public policy. To further this interest, he currently serves as the Legislative Coordinator for the Student Government at UNM and was elected as a Senator for the 2025-26 academic year. He is also actively involved in several student organizations across campus.

Outside of academics, Daniyal enjoys running, building Legos, and gardening. He is excited to be a part of the Terry & deGraauw family, utilizing his skills and passion to make an impact.
