STAY AWAY FROM THIS FIRM!
If you enjoy paying hundreds of dollars to get absolutely nowhere, this might be the law firm for you.
My experience has been incredibly frustrating. Getting basic information about my own case takes forever, and when I finally do get an update, I’m apparently expected to pay a ridiculous amount for the privilege of hearing that there’s nothing new.
One phone call lasted five minutes, yet I was charged for an entire hour. Over $300 for five minutes just to be told, essentially, “Yeah, nothing new.” You honestly have to be kidding me.
It feels like every interaction comes with a bill, regardless of whether anything productive actually happened. I’ve spent more time waiting for information and questioning charges than seeing any meaningful progress on my case.
At this point, the billing feels less like paying for legal services and more like an open invitation to drain my wallet. I certainly don’t feel like my money is being spent with my best interests in mind.
If you have money to burn and enjoy paying premium prices for minimal results, go ahead. Otherwise, stay far away and ask very carefully about their billing practices before handing over a dime.

In my opinion Kathreen Terry committed fraud and was completely bias as a Guardian Ad Litem in my custody case. I have several of her statements were never brought to me and asked for my side of the story and several of those same statements were completely false.
I did not have the physical evidence at the time to prove these statement false so the courts took them as fact and took my timeshare away from me and my daughter.
These statements were the lies of my ex-wife and when I brought the facts before Kathreen she would no longer return my calls or e-mails to set the facts straight.

Stay as far away from this firm as much as possible and if they are suggested for a GAL in your case, ask for other options. They do not care about actually looking out for the child but rather about money. They are extremely unprofessional and will deny evidence staring straight at them. If you want to be a guinea pig treated with zero respect Terry & deGrauuw are for you!

To say my case was complicated would be an understatement, not only was it complicated but it was complex. It was unlike any case Katie had previously handled but you wouldn’t know that by her expertise. I could not have obtained a better lawyer. While seeking help for DV, I was recommended to reach out to Terry & deGraauw for their unique approach to divorce. Their lawful expertise aside they tackled my situation by hearing me out on everything and always advising me in accordance to my values, my morals and overall what would be best for me long term. Divorce is always a lose-lose scenario, that’s the reality. However Chelsey and her team worked with me to make sure that I understood the long term goals.
